Who is this tutorial for? Registered members of the Construction Leadership Network.

The Construction Leadership Network Member Module is the first area of the collaborative site with which you should familiarize yourself because it displays your member profile.

This tutorial contains two sets of instructions. The first set of instructions is for company administrators. Each member company is assigned one company administrator. The primary role of a company admin is to give others in his or her company access to the site. The second set of instructions is for company members. Before you begin using this tutorial, click the option below that aligns with your membership level.

 

 

 

 

Instructions on How Members Can Use the Member Directory

1. How to Set Your Password

You should have received an email generated from your company admin containing a link to set your password. Once you receive it, click the link and set a password in the field shown.

If you forget your password, simply click the “forgot password” button on the main login screen here. http://members.constructionleaders.org. If, at some point, you want to change your password, you can do so in Settings.

 

2. How to Complete Your Profile

If your personal profile is not complete, you’ll be prompted to complete it. (Note that your profile will be visible to other CLN members, but not to anyone without a password.)

Please complete all the fields, including uploading your favorite photo of yourself. A 1:1 ratio or square photo at 72 pixels per inch works best.

Click “Submit” when done.

 

3. How to Use the Member Directory

Using the Member Directory is intuitive. Once in the directory, you may find members and their information by:

  • Using the alpha sort—A to Z or Z to A
  • Using the search feature. Within the member directory, you can search by any appropriate term, such as first or last name or even company name.
  • Scrolling

Clicking on any individual name will open their member information page.

TIP: Clicking on email links: While email addresses are clickable, your computer needs to be set up so that email links will open your email program. Many I.T. admins are disabling this feature. If the email link doesn't work, simply copy the email address and paste into your email program.

 

4. How to Use the Company Directory

The Company Directory is assessable from the main menu of the Member Portal.

The following features are available to members from the Company Directory:

  • Search and sort
  • View information about all companies
  • View members of all companies

Navigating: The following links are clickable in the Company Directory:

  • Logo
  • URL
  • Number of members (links to information about members)

3. Complete Your Company's Profile

From anywhere in the Member Portal, click your membership admin settings located at the top right of the green menu bar. Select "Edit Company."

For security reasons, you can edit all fields except the three greyed-out fields shown below.

The logo upload feature can be used to upload a logo or replace a previously uploaded one.

Click “Submit” when done.

 

4. Adding Members to Your Company

Now that your personal profile and your company’s profiles are complete, you may add employees in your company who would like access to the CLN Member Portal. Member companies are permitted to give access to as many company employees as they would like.

The process of adding members is simple. Every time you create a member, that person will receive an email prompting them to set a password—just as you did—to gain access to the site.

How to add a member:

4a: Head to the Members module either by clicking on the “hamburger” menu of the large Member Directory button on the Dashboard.

4c: Enter information

At a minimum, enter:

  1. Email address (they will receive a password prompt email at this address).
  2. First name
  3. Last name

Click Submit.

What happens now? The new member will receive an email with the password prompt. Then, he or she can login, add additional information to his/her profile, and begin using the site.

 

4d: If you need to add other members, simply go back to the previous screen by clicking the “Back to Member” button and repeat the process above.
